Common Roofing Problems for Residential Homeowners and How to Fix Them

As a residential homeowner, you want your roof to last for many years. The typical asphalt/composition roof lasts around 20 years, but you’ll need to properly maintain it to achieve such a long lifespan. This involves repairing common issues that may develop over the years. Here’s a list of some of them.
Curling/Clawed Shingles
A common problem homeowners experience is when their shingles start curling, especially with the corners. There’s no reason to be alarmed just yet, because replacing a shingle or two is relatively inexpensive. It’s when many shingles start curling when you have a problem, which may indicate that your roof is aging or the roof is getting too hot.
In either case, you’ll want to fix this problem because otherwise, the shingles will become rigid and break off completely. A simple fix involves securing the shingles with some sort of glue. Roof sealant may also be applied so that the curled shingles stay down. If you don’t feel up to it, just get help from residential roofing companies. Read more from this blog: http://bit.ly/2oLj1e8
